ABDA design were asked by Kang Leisure to develop the interior style for Twelve Ashby, a new fine dining cocktail bar in Leicestershire.
Our concept narrative focused on the words ‘exclusive, vintage and eclectic’ with the aim to create a destination venue that is unique from the other bars and restaurants in Ashby de la Zouch, in which people would want to return time and time again.
We developed the design through the varied finishes, furniture and lighting paying close attention to the transition from day to evening, this was achieved by specific layout and circulation planning.
The client requested that the stand-out feature of the space was the bar. This includes a striking corner wrap-around bar with shiny brass inlays and sculpted lighting to give an elevated cocktail experience.
Contrasting features include varying tiled floor finishes, distressed timber herringbone and exotic foliage wallpapers, to create an eclectic feel. Feature globe pendants and layered reeded lights provide a focus and a point of difference throughout.
Our team developed the scheme into a complete design intent construction pack, including elevations and joinery details, which was then passed to the client for them to procure the FF&E. A stunning concept with a luxury and exclusive feel gives Twelve Ashby a unique selling point to set it apart from its competitors. Client and customer feedback has been very positive and we can’t wait to visit!
