ABDA worked with Blue Apple on this project starting by collaborating on the optimal size of the commercial kitchen and staff restaurant, establishing a clear vision for the catering service. Our design encompassed the kitchen itself and servery counters, larder design and staff restaurant before we supplied and installed all equipment and furnishings.
understanding the brand and material brief
Before commencing the design phase, we researched the client to understand their company image and vibe, as well as gaining a technical understanding to see where and how we could utilise hidden induction warmers. We also had to research the specific materials which the interior design team had asked us to use.
designing for flexibility, access and experience
When designing office spaces, we needed to consider that it may be required to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner on a daily basis, as well as have the flexibility to host evening events. We also incorporated design considerations for all employee needs such as disabilities and neurological conditions.
